What is Rooting?
Rooting grants you "superuser" (or "su") access to your Android system. This means:
- Complete Control: Modify system files, remove pre-installed apps ("bloatware"), change system settings usually locked by the manufacturer.
- Advanced Apps: Install apps that require root access, like ad blockers, firewall apps, or those that let you tweak CPU settings for performance or battery life.

Custom ROMs: A Fresh Start
Custom ROMs replace your device's entire operating system with a modified version. They can offer:

Flashing Custom ROMs: Magisk & TWRP

- Magisk: A powerful tool that allows "systemless" rooting (doesn't modify system files directly), making it easier to install banking apps and receive OTA (over-the-air) updates.
Custom Kernels: Fine-Tune Performance
Kernels are the core of the operating system, managing how your device interacts with hardware. Custom kernels can:
- Overclock/Undervolt: Increase or decrease CPU speed for performance or battery savings.
- Tweak CPU Governors: Change how the CPU manages its speed based on demand.
- Adjust GPU Settings: Enhance graphics performance.
Warning: Kernel modifications can be risky. Always research and use kernels specifically made for your device.
Installing Custom ROMs & Kernels:
- Unlock Bootloader: Necessary for most modifications. Check your device manufacturer's instructions.
- Install Custom Recovery (TWRP): Usually done via ADB (Android Debug Bridge) commands.
- Back Up Your System: Crucial in case anything goes wrong.
